Career History

Chris began his racing career on Good Friday in March 2008 at the Bovingdon raceway near Hemel Hempstead. The first car he drove was the ex Danny England Vauxhall Nova that had a few wins under its belt reached a high position in the points chart.

2008 was a good learning curve for Chris as he enjoyed some highs and lows, from wrecking in front of his work collegues at Arlington to scoring his first win in only his 3rd meeting. Chris impressively made it up to the red grade after only 3 months in the formula due to the high number of points he had scored

For the 2009 season Chris and his dad Mick acquired a new Vauxhall Nova which they built from scratch. It was a season of mixed results with Chris never quite managing to bag a win, nevertheless a lot was learned on and off the track that year.

The following year was more promissing as Chris climbed the grades again, recording several good results and a win along the way. Triumph turned to despair at Aldershot one sunny Sunday afternoon. Chris took a win in the first heat of the day but in heat 2 was collected in a multi-car collision which saw the #44 car hit the wall hard. The diagnosis was not pretty, a whole new front end had to be welded onto the car. A few weeks later Chris was ready to go again. The bad luck looked to be all over until one fateful night at Arlington Raceway when there was a huge pileup on the backsraight, Chris's car took a heavy hit front and rear and was ultimately destined for the scrapyard.

Determined never to give up the team got straight to work in preparing their spare car that they had acquired over the previous winter. This proved to be Chris's most successful car to date, taking him to 3 wins in early 2011, back up to the red grade where he had been previously. After a sabbatical in 2012 Chris was back on track mid-way through 2013. After a few early struggles with the car Chris was back on form, securring a few top 5 finishes towards the end of the year. By the end of the year the team took the executive decision to build a brand new Vauxhall Nova for 2014!
